The Shenandoah Valley Governor's School Visual Arts Program encourages students to develop their own unique aesthetic, built on a strong foundation of technical skill. Regular peer critiques and study of influential artists assist our students in formulating educated opinions regarding quality and intended purposes of visual art. Unique aspects of our program include a dual enrollment art history course, guest artist workshops, several annual student art exhibits, field trip experiences, and a senior capstone projects.
